Before we were able to check out the plentiful free galleries at Studio3dom, photographer Jeff L. Klaum confronted us with some really tough questions: “What is art? What is obscenity? Who or what is a ‘proper’ subject for artistic expression?” We think he might be stumped too, since he doesn’t seem to have updated his site in a while—but we’re glad he has a bunch of sexy fetish-tinged photosets that “recall the innocent glamour of the blue movies of the 1940’s and 50’s, and the idealized free love movement of the 60’s” for us to enjoy while we think about art and obscenity and stuff.

While we’re usually to content to ogle artsy photographs of beautiful nude women for their own sake, there’s something more to Erocrush than meets the (naked) eye: photographers Melvin and Janmorale Moten tell us that the philosophy behind their stunning fetish and art nude studies involves their belief that “The forms and directions of desire become tools we use to be less alone, or at least to be alone together. We make images to somehow give substance to what in us is invisible.” Whatever that means to you, we’re feeling a little less lonesome already.

If you’re not quite ready to check into a love hotel just yet, spending some time with the Osaka Girls might be the next best thing; according to the site copy, they’re particularly hospitable catering to “Western taste: Amsterdam, Danemark, Florida, California, Germany, England and much more” (and if anyone could explain the difference between California and Florida tastes to us, please let us know). We got a little lost in a maze of signup links when we first visited the site until we finally found a section containing hundreds of free, high-quality photos of pinup models and race queens—and now that we’re here, we might just stick around for a while. After all, it’s not like they’re charging us by the hour or anything.

Some adult film studios might have a reputation for being cold, unfeeling companies whose only concerns are financial profit and human exploitation, but we’re happy to report that Metro and Loaded Digital are doing their part to help the undoubtedly deserving Ashley Steel realize her educational dreams with the release of “Who’s Next In Porn?” this week; a percentage of the proceeds from the DVD will presumably go towards helping Ashley attain the admirable goals set forth on her website (“I want to be a doctor and conduct research and studies that will help further our knowledge about the human mind and psyche … You help me, and one day, I may just help you”). Funny, but whenever we try roaming the streets with a camera asking women to show us their breasts all we usually get is a black eye and a restraining order; fortunately for you, photographer Jordan Matter had better luck than we did. Then again, his project documenting the lovely ladies of New York City was a lot more empowering than ours was: “Having covered themselves up for a lifetime, it is exhilarating to shatter the walls that society has placed around them. I hope that when people view this work, they get a sense of that exhilaration.”

The more conventionally pornographically minded among you may look at photographer, body artist, and “social iconoclast” Jerome Abramovitch’s portfolio and zero right in on the “Fetish”, “Fashion”, or “Bathtub Series” sections—but of course it’s his new “Mannequins” series that caught our attention, which he explains involved “no airbrushing or digital manipulation … It’s old-school photo montage, nothing more.” Given our ongoing fascination with all things inanimate and sexy, though, that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

It’s not for nothing that Mistress Kassandra was voted Best Dominatrix in New York City last year; aside from being whip-smart and extremely personable (not to mention a total knockout), we’re impressed by the attentive level of customer service and full disclosure she brings to her profession: “I am sorry to deflate anyone’s fantasy, but … my feet are not particularly stinky.
