We usually put on an old Shari Lewis cassette when we’re with that special someone and want to set the right mood (trust us, it works every time), but we’re intrigued by Jessica Vale’s “The Sex Album”, in which every sound used is a recorded sample of people … you know, doing it: according to an article in the Daily News today, “That snare drum sound? It’s a hand paddling a posterior. That bass line? Produced by a vibrator. And that guitar solo? Moans of ecstasy processed through a computer.” From the excerpts we’ve heard it sounds sexy enough, though we’re wondering how they managed to keep all those internal microphones from slipping out during the recording sessions.
