Another week, another porn story at the NY Times, this time on the increasing convergence of hip-hop and hardcore porn. We thought the most interesting part was the news about 50 Cent distancing himself from his recently announced collaboration with Digital Sin: "'Our core consumers are minors, so we're not driving it that way,' said 50 Cent's manager, Chris Lighty ... This isn't something we're jeopardizing.'"

Update: Jay Smooth at hiphopmusic.com sets the NY Times straight: "In their report on the blooming relationship between hip-hop and porn, the so-called paper of record erroneously reports that no rapper has yet 'performed' as the star of an adult film. How dare you disrespect the true pioneers of hip-hop porn?"
